Atlas ist ein stapelbarer Stuhl und somit Platz sparend aufzubewahren. Inspiriert von der Legende des Atlas, der das Gewicht der Weltkugel auf seinen Schultern tragen musste, entstand ein stabiler Stuhl, der ebenfalls mit seinen Schultern trägt. Damit Atlas diesen Belastungen standhält, ist das Gestell aus massivem Holz (Ahorn). Der Sitz und die Rückenlehne sind formverleimt.
Atlas is a stackable restaurant chair. Atlas, the Greek demigod, who had to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders, was in my mind, when I designed this chair. You can see that by the shape of the substructure.The chair is made of solid wood (beech). The seat and the back rest are laminated birch ply-wood.
